This is the perfect 1960's / 1970's style handle to restore Cibson cases, models C-Les-paul es 335 SG L5 355.
This was a popular style in the 60s and 70s on Cibson cases....heavy plastic with a ribbed back. Handle is old but has never been installed...you might find a few light storage marks but it is in good condition and correct for your vintage case. Measuring from center of post to center of post is 4 and 3/8th inches.
Very durable quality - with nickel TKL mounting plates - and now with two ways to install:

Use the hardware shown by mounting the two brass axles through the mounting plates, then install the completed handle using the 4 rivets...or...
Use your pre-exisiting case hardware and simply install the raw handle using the two axles. This keeps your case original. (Your original case hardware should be similar in appearnace to that shown here, in order for the axles to fit correctly).
Measuring from center of leg to center of leg: approximately 4 and 3/8th inches. Comes with nickel hardware and top-quality heavy duty brass axles....this is the best mounting hardware currently on the market.
If you need help...send me a pic of your case! Shop Talk - to install the axles, slide the axle through the handle and case hardware so that the open end of the axle points to the inside of the handle. Then, use a small hammer to "ball pien" the open axle end, creating a burr which locks the axle and handle in place. This is the same process used at the factory and it will have a factory appearance. Works great! (TIP: place a counter-weight or another hammer agianst the opposite end of the axle that you are tapping...this will make your hammer taps more meaningful). * A standard size rivet is included. If you know the specific length rivet you need you should email that BEFORE paying. If you need a different size rivet AFTER you receive the handle they can be provided at an additional charge which covers our cost....we want to help you get your case back on the road!
