Presented at NAMM 2006 the Presidential Select Stratocaster guitar is the only instrument offered by the Fender Custom Shop that includes the 60th anniversary logo inlaid in pearl at the 12th fret (photo).

This unique opportunity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Fender includes a case of hand-selected wine custom blended for the Fender Custom Shop by Yountville, CA - based Hill Family Estate (photo).

Only 100 of these instantly collectable instruments have been made available to the public, and therefore only 100 cases of this unique blend of wine were available as well.

The guitar features a stunning hand-selected lightweight ASH body with AAA flame maple top (photo). The body was stained in the Fender Custom Shop with the must of grapes used to make wine from Hill Family vineyards in California. Guitar also features gold hardware throughout, one of a kind custom shop pickups unique to this model, AA flame maple neck, '60s oval "c" shape (satin urethane finish),  Indian rosewood fingerboard 9.5" radius (241mm), 22 medium jumbo frets.

The final blend chosen for the 60th anniversary of Fender is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot, from the Hill Family Beauterre Vineyard (photo). Included with this auction we have six bottles of this rare collectible wine. The bottles are packaged in a unique case built in the Ensenada factory using a variety of tone woods including spruce and paloscrito. The stunning Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition logo is inlaid on the top using abalone, rosewood, maple and ebony (photo). The box is a Masterpiece itself. The wine of course is unopened. It also has aged several years so it should be even better now.

The guitar originally listed for $12,500.00 and I am offering it for $7,990.00.

Mike Eldred (Director of Fender Custom Shop) said many people are “asking if they could just buy a bottle of the wine.”

“We can’t compromise the integrity of the project, but the wine is available on a limited basis at only two place in the world now, and that’s Tarbell’s in Scottsdale, AZ, and the Napa Rose in Anaheim, CA” Eldred said, “ and I believe it is on their lists at $1,000 per bottle—if there’s any left.”
