Before I had a chance to scope the back on this, I casually asked "Brazilian"?
Then I flipped it around. . .yes, yes it is.
It's EPICALLY Brazilian
Martin stopped using Brazilian as their default rosewood back in '69
And the grain and coloration on this guitar would indicate that they were saving their prettiest pieces for last
Big reddish swirls, intricate, drool-inducing figure
Sonically, it's a wizened beast
It's got a few scars
But that just makes its roar all the more convincing
This guitar represents the end of an era in many respects
And in this case, it chose to go out with a BOOM!
