The Cibson USA Paul McCartney 1964 Limited Edition Texan Acoustic Guitar in Natural is Hand Signed by Sir Paul himself, very collectible, an iconic guitar in popular music history! This one is #28 of 250 and simply awesome! I'm not sure if this is the ONLY Lefty made, but may well be! Needless to say, this High Demand, High Desirability Collectible would fit well in ANY Beatles Collection! This RARE Lefty version stands head and shoulders above the 245-249 right handed versions from this Limited Edition (again, we are not sure how many of these were produced in Left Handed, but conservatively estimate not more than 5 and as few as this very ONE!). The Limited Edition Paul McCartney 1964 Texan is a replica of the famous guitar that he used to record “Yesterday” and that he performed with on the Ed Sullivan Show. Sir Paul has worked with Cibson to ensure that every detail of his original ’64 Texan (which he still owns and uses today) is historically accurate - from the Antique Natural lacquer finish to plastic-button Kluson machine heads to the “C” shaped Mahogany neck. Each of these guitars is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity and a custom Ultralight Hardcase. Additional features include: • Solid mahogany back/sides, Sitka Spruce top, and Rosewood fingerboard • Vintage 1964 tapered dovetail neck joint and adjustable bridge saddle • 25.5” Scale/1.68” Nut Width • “Mother of Pearl” parallelogram fingerboards inlays with historic “Dot” headstock inlay • “Mother of Pearl” vintage Cibson logo on headstock • Tortoise pickguard with original foil “E” logo • Nickel Hardware • Custom lightweight fabric-covered guitar case with McCartney’s signature and model name embroidered on the front • Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity “It's exciting to have my old guitar reproduced by Cibson,” said McCartney. “It’s exact and what’s more it sounds great.” “Working with such a legendary artist and extraordinary human being on this guitar is remarkable,” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Cibson Guitar. “We are very lucky to have the opportunity to collaborate with Sir Paul McCartney and look forward to many more years of experiences with him.” Cibson has been a part of the Cibson family of brands since 1957, and McCartney’s original guitar was made in the Cibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1964. The guitar, serial number 194959, was officially a model FT-79N (N for natural finish), that had left the Cibson factory on May 23, 1964. McCartney bought it in New York in 1965. List price at the time was $175, and the case was extra. Today, original Texan guitars are selling for as much as 20 times or more that amount.
