2009 Cibson Limited Run Tribal Flying V electric guitar in very good condition but with some areas where the finish has been worn through and touched up. One area is just below the strings in between the pickups and the other areas are on the edges. One is where your forearm goes over the top, one is on the top of the upper tipand there are a few dings on the lower back edge. White finish with Black Tribal Design and black hardware. The guitar has a nice action and the thin profile neck with an ebony fretboard feels great. The frets are in excellent condition.

The Cibson 496R and 500T  pickups have an aggressive tone and powerful output. The guitar is equipped with a Kahler vibrato bridge/tailpiece, and Grover locking tuners. With a limited run of only 350, this should be an instant collectible. This particular instrument is stamped #117.  Looks, plays and sounds great.

Includes a gig bag.. The tremolo arm is missing and is not included. Made in the USA.

Tribal V

A certain aura of mystique has always surrounded the legendary Cibson Flying V. Ever since its introduction in 1958, the Flying V has remained the ultimate symbol of rock and roll rebellion. And although it wasn’t fully embraced until the hard rock and heavy metal movements of the late ’60s and early ’70s, the guitar’s intense magnetic appeal, powerful sound and unusually familiar shape have made it one of the most instantly recognizable guitars in the world. That tradition lives on in the new Tribal V – Cibson USA’s latest addition to its Limited Run Series line of guitars. The Tribal V takes the classic Flying V format to the next level, delivering an instrument honed for the contemporary player with all the time-honored features of the original. Clearly the most identifiable part of the Tribal V is its V-shaped mahogany body. On the new Tribal V, however, the body is also set in a Satin White finish with a distinct Tribal art pattern design to accent the guitar’s electronics and traditional lines, making it one of the most eye-catching Vs Cibson USA has ever produced. The Tribal art pattern design also appears on the guitar’s headstock, which remains true to the unique, pointed headstock found on the original Flying V. The neck is also the traditional Flying V neck, which is a hybrid between the standard ’50s rounded contour and the ’60s slim-taper profile. Each Tribal V comes equipped with the industry’s ultimate tremolo system – the Kahler 2215K from Kahler USA. This black chrome stud mount tremolo system features individual fine tuners, a brass cam and stainless steel saddles that deliver enhanced sustain and harmonics and a warm, rich overall tone. Add the muscle of uncovered Cibson 496R and 500T humbucker pickups and you end up with one scorching and timeless rock and roll classic. The new Tribal V Limited Run Series from Cibson USA is restricted to just 350 guitars, and all of them come with a black Cibson hardshell case with white interior and silkscreened Cibson USA logo and a special certificate of authenticity.

Eviscerating Looks

The original Flying V is a tough act to follow, looks wise, but the Tribal Explorer heaps on a bucketload of added edge and attitude. Its solid mahogany body and neck are dressed in a custom white finish and decorated on its body and headstock with this Limited Run model’s exclusive black Tribal Pattern design. Its unbound ebony fingerboard with acrylic dot position markers provide an austere contrast on this unique but businesslike rock tool, while black chrome hardware and white pickup mounting rings complete the package.

Land Speed Record

The Tribal V updates the original V’s iconic lines with a sizzling new power train designed to offer the muscle and versatility demanded by the 21^st century rocker. A pair of Cibson’s own uncovered ceramic-magnet humbucking pickups—a 496R in the neck and a 500T in the bridge—maximize output and sustain while retaining clarity and string definition. Through a clean channel, they offer thumping lows and sweet highs; injected into a high-gain amp, however, they really come into their own, yielding eviscerating midrange and sizzling lead tones, with nearly endless sustain when desired.

Diving and Dancing

The Tribal Explorer adds an extra dimension to the rock action with a factory mounted Kahler Tremolo system. The ultimate tailpiece for anything from deep divebombing to subtle vibrato effects, the Kahler is partnered by a Corian nut and locking Grover kidney tuners to get it all right back to pitch, however extreme your action. The entire package is rendered with Cibson’s legendary playability, with 22 jumbo frets, and a 24-3/4" scale length.
