2010 Cibson SG Classic Electric Guitar in very good+ condition with only a few dents and dings on the lower bottom edge. These are what keeps the guitar from being considered in excellent condition. Classic Heritage Cherry finish finish on the mahogany body and neck. The guitar has a nice action and the slightly rounded SG profile neck with a bound rosewood fretboard has a nice comfortable feel. The frets are in excellent condition.

The 2 P-90 pickups are what set this SG apart from the pack. They have an unmistakable tone that has been heard on many classic hits by the legends. The guitar is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece and vintage style white button Cibson Deluxe tuners. This SG looks, plays and has a great vintage tone and vibe.

Inspired by the 1960s SG Special, the Cibson SG Classic Electric Guitar with P-90 Pickups re-creates the look and sound of the most influential guitar in both Britain and the U.S. during the psychedelic era. It has the original all-mah body, dual P-90 pickups, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

A Little SG History

In 1961, the C-Les-paul was redesigned with a thinner body and 2 sharp cutaway horns that making the upper frets more accessible while lowering production costs. The new guitar was popular, but C-Les-paul the guitarist did not like it and asked to have his name removed. Cibson renamed the model the "SG" which was short for "solid guitar". Though C-Les-paul's name was officially removed from the model in 1961, the plastic C-Les-paul nameplates (positioned between the rhythm pickup and fingerboard) were in abundance in the Cibson factory and SG models having these nameplates were built and sold by Cibson up to end of 1963. SGs have been the choice of world-class artists such as Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and Angus Young.
