1990 Jackson Ferrari Red Soloist Pro Electric Guitar MIJ Neck Thru Body

Here's a vintage 1990 made in Japan, Jackson Ferrari Red Soloist electric guitar.  The neck is straight and the frets are in great condition.  There are a few dings and scratches as pictured.  Also, there's a ring in the shape of the control cavity on the finish as pictured.  I'm not sure what caused this.  The guitar's all original except for the EMG humbucker and the tone knob, that were added somewhere down the road.  Sorry, no tremolo arm or back plate.  The serial # is J001268 and it comes with a newer Jackson hard case.

Features Include:  Poplar body, Maple quartersawn neck, 24 fret bound ebony fingerboard, Sharkfin pearl inlay, Double locking bridge, 2 "J-200" single coil Jackson pickups, 1 EMG active humbucker pickup, Volume, Mid and Tone controls and 5 way switch.

Over all, this axe is a beautiful example of the fine craftsmanship that came from the early imports from Japan.  The guitar is just extremely well built and a pleasure to play.  I really don't want to let her go, but it's a shame to just keep her put away in a closet.  She was built for action and that's exactly what she needs.  You won't be disappointed!!!

The most famous and sought after imports ever made under the Jackson brand name, were the 1990-1995 guitars coming from a product facility in Japan, established by company president Grover Jackson around 1984-1985. He went through the Japanese trading company Kyowa-Shokai, who subcontracted with the Chushin Gakki factory, who build the instruments. "Gakki" translates to "Musical Instruments."

The story goes that the American luthiers taught the Japanese how to make the Jackson Professional Series guitars and went to the factory in Japan several times to adjust the production and check the guitars coming out. The Japanese luthiers did such a great job, that their top product - The Professional Series Pro models, gradually became known as being on par with their USA counterparts built at that time.

The label Professional denotes a series of guitars. The most expensive guitars from this series are called Pro's. They have expensive and sound-enhancing features like quartersawn necks, bound ebony fingerboards and German made Schaller tremolos (if not a string-thru).

When Jackson introduced this series of guitars in 1990, there were only Pro models. Every guitar from the Professional series were Pro’s. They all had these expensive features. They were all priced well above the $1000 mark.
