- Original Authentic Series version (standard gloss finish, no VTS top) - Careful replication of a 1941 D-28, this model features hide glue construction, a T-Bar truss rod and rear shifted X-bracing - Madagascar rosewood back & sides, Adirondack spruce top & braces, Authentic style scalloped braces (rear-shifted), ivoroid binding, bold herringbone top trim. Authentic 1941 neck shape, ebony fretboard (25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut, 2-1/8" string spacing at saddle), long pattern diamonds and squares position inlays. Madagascar rosewood headplate with gold decal, Waverly tuning gears with oval buttons. Bone nut & saddle. - All New Authentic Series models feature historically accurate specifications such as thinner pegheads, fingerboards, center strips and bridge plates, as well as hand contoured bridges. Shell inlays are closer replicated to the originals in shape, size, dimension and location. Other standout details include hide glue construction and cloth side strips inside each body.
