With a beautifully-waisted orchestra body constructed of Solid Canadian Red Cedar and Solid African Sapele, this guitar sits comfortably and resonates evenly across the entire tonal spectrum. An ebony fretboard and bridge, combined with a bone nut and saddle, further enhance the guitar’s pristine note depth and definition. Graced with a thin satin finish, this guitar highlights the richness and resonance of the cedar top to the fullest.
This guitar is waiting for a home in consumer hands! It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar has a minor cosmetic blemish. It is a completely playable instrument with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular guitar has a few extremely soft depressions in the finish near the edge in one area. These are barely perceptible to touch and I have included a close-up photo. There is a thin lighter-colored area in the finish on the side of the body along the bass edge of the neck heel and there is some scuffing on one corner of the headstock. I have included close-up photos of these as well. Aside from what I have described, the guitar is in flawless condition.
The guitar has received a professional setup and plays nice and low without a buzz. Like its gloss-finished sibling (the MB-17-G), this guitar has the perfectly-balanced tone you expect from an orchestra body. The satin finish simply ups the ante with an extra prescription of transparent breadth and organic warmth.
Bedell has discontinued this and all other imported models and will only be producing the high-dollar US-built guitars from this point on. If you’re looking to get into a Bedell guitar with quality tone woods but an attainable price tag, now’s the chance! The Bedell Deluxe padded gigbag is included.
