Another Exceptional John Mayer Signature from Martin-Cocobolo Perfection
The Martin OO-42SC JM model is an amazing instrument. The guitar is a piece of art. Martin put care, attention and creativity into every inch of this guitar. The Cocobolo wood produces a totally amazing sound that you have to hear to appreciate. I have a nice collection of guitars and hate to use terms like, "this is my favorite." But I guess I have to contradict myself. This is my favorite. It is easy to play.
Short Introduction :
This "00" 12-fret guitar boasts solid cocobolo sides, back and headplate, a solid sitka spruce top, gorgeous "42" style appointments, and is inspired by the 00-45SC built in collaboration with John Mayer in 2012. The "SC" stands for stagecoach, harkening back to an era when guitars were taken on trains, wagons, and horses for bringing people together in song. Other features include grained ivoroid binding on the endpiece, solid black ebony pyramid with drop-in saddle bridge, Waverly brass open-geared with small ivoroid button tuning machines, a Delmar tortoise color pickguard, and a polished gloss finish.
