Item Description

Frank Falbo, former vice president of Seymour Duncan, is making a big splash in the acoustic guitar world with his Alpha Series Falbo guitars. This is a Dreadnought built with an Italian Spruce top and rosewood back and sides, and it boasts a very expansive, powerful, yet articulate sound. A compound radius ebony fretboard makes for effortless playability and an ultra-thin UV/Poly blend finish allows the guitar to really breath.

The secret to the unique open resonance of this guitar lies in all Falbo models. Frank Falbo was known as a natural inventor while working for Seymour Duncan, and his Intention Bridge is the motivation for this new guitar line. With this bridge design, the strings attach to the guitar behind bridge and are anchored to counteract the torque created by string tension. Because of this, Falbo guitars require much less internal bracing.

And what happens with less bracing? You guessed it; you get a guitar that vibrates more freely and projects a superbly open, powerful sound. While these guitars have a classic build and feel, you should do yourself a favor and try one out at the Zoo to hear the difference in tone!
