Fender Custom Shop’s Journeyman Relic Postmodern Telecaster is a splendid tribute to vintage originals, with top-notch design work contributing to excellent playability to go along with classic aesthetics. Light relic work is seen throughout the guitar in the form of an Aged White Blonde finish, various nicks, dings, dents, and scratches, and Vintage-Style Hardware, making it seem fresh out of the 60s. Speaking of which, a mid-1960s oval “C” profile neck makes gliding across the guitar’s smooth 21-fret 9.5” to 12” compound radius fingerboard an absolute breeze. A bone nut, RSD Telecaster bridge, and Vintage-Style tuning machines round out this Journeyman Relic’s striking visual appeal. Tonally, you have a Custom Shop Hand-Wound “Twisted” Tele Single-Coil in both the neck and bridge positions, giving you access to the Telecaster’s vintage twang, while also working in conjunction with a Greasebucket tone circuit and classic three-way switching to deliver an enticing tonal package. With its fantastic combination of eye-catching looks, exceptional playability, and vintage tone, the Journeyman Relic Postmodern Telecaster is an absolute stunner.
