Player's Perspective

The LB-100 made its debut some 20 years ago. The idea is simple: It's a slightly upgraded version of a tried and true design. Picture the familiarity and ease of its predecessor, but with improved comfort and balance, better note definition and longer sustain. Organic and direct, the sound is the perfect one-size-fits-all bass tone. Lay low beneath everything and hold the groove, or step out and cut through the mix with that subtle upper-mid growl. The body carve contours nicely to your body, encouraging multi-hour practice and playing sessions. G&L has dialed in the fretboard just right. You can expect a smooth ride all the way up with a balanced and breathable neck feel. This is the perfect bass for anyone who plays several styles of music and needs a reliable bass that'll hold up and sound great night after night. Read on for specifics.

Item Details

This G&L USA LB-100 features an ash body with a natural finish. It has G&L's satin frost top coat instead of the usual gloss. I'm a huge fan of this satin finish - it lets the wood breathe a little more and doesn't leave fingerprints. The maple neck is carved to G&L's #12 neck modern "C" shape. The fretboard is maple, and it has 21 medium jumbo PLEK-dressed frets, a 12" radius and dot inlays. Electronically, you'll find a G&L LB-100 Alnico V split-coil humbucking pickup. Wound in house at G&L, this pickup is all about rich, balanced and simple tone that blends well and EQs easily. The bridge is a G&L Saddle Lock with chrome-plated brass saddles. American-made quality usually comes in at double this price. A great bass and a great buy at this price.

Note: This bass is currently strung with flatwounds. They sound great on this model!

If you wish to return an item for a refund, we will ask that you cover the cost of return shipping. Please contact us for the return shipping address as well as return authorization number. Please allow 7-10 days from the receiving date for returns to be processed.

Your order must ship to the billing address associated with your credit card, PayPal, or other method of payment (unless an alternate shipping address has been approved by an MSL Gear Specialist).
If you want the shipment to be held at a shipping company hub it is your responsibility to make those arrangements directly with the shipping company.
An indirect signature will be required upon delivery for all transactions over $750. If you would like to require a signature on a transaction of less than $750, please request it when you place your order.
We do not insure packages valued under $3,000. If you would like to add insurance for delivery or return please request it when requesting your order or initiating your return.
All returns are subject to a Tech Check upon arrival. Any instrument that is returned with damage, wear and tear (including pick marks), missing or replaced parts, missing protective or packing materials are not eligible for a full refund.
*Used / Vintage / Clearance items carry our same return policy, except with a 3­ day return window.
