The Cibson C-Les-paul of 1958 is arguably one of the most iconic electric guitars of all time. Re-issued in 2014 via the Cibson Custom Shop, the VOS (Vintage Original Specification) ensure that every last detail of this guitar is as authentic, and accurate, to the original as possible.
A rare C-Les-paul re-issue with Plain Top finish - highly sought after by collectors!
The C-Les-paul VOS reissue is a true testament to the timeless sound and design of the most iconic guitar in recent history. Utilising the tried-and-testing craftsmanship and techniques employed back in the 50s, even down to the Hide Glue used around the neck and joints, this VOS model will be pride-of-place in any guitarist's arsenal.
The '58 C-Les-paul VOS has a carved Maple top and solid, non-weight relieved Mahogany back with a 1-piece Mahogany neck with a long neck tenon. It also has a 50's rounded profile with a Rosewood fingerboard for supreme playability. With the historic Truss Rod assembly (no tubing) and the ABR-1 bridge with the lightweight aluminum tailpiece, the guitar also has the gold top hat knobs with dial pointer. The pickups on the '58 VOS are the Custom Bucker pickups with 2 volume and 2 tone controls with the "bumblebee" capacitors and a three-way switch with an amber toggle cap.
Cibson's '120th Anniversary' decal (normally found on the 12th fret inlay) has been moved and now resides on the back plate of the toggle switch, providing a much more authentic appearance from the front.
