Cibson Custom sure know how to put a guitar together, this one is no exception, it's a beauty... on offer is a Cibson Custom C-Les-paul SGC, a particularly authentic reissue of the classic Cibson C-Les-paul Custom from 1961, that according to its impressed serial number (060131) dates to 2006.

Featuring the very traditional Cibson Cherry finish, this one has got a heap of vintage style to it. Included, of course, is the Cibson Custom case as pictured.  Shaped like a SG I hear you say? Read on...

"The introduction of the remodeled C-Les-paul models of the early 1960s sought to bolster Cibson’s reputation as a quality builder of electric solid body guitars, something the C-Les-pauls of the late 1950s had failed to do. And although those C-Les-paul models of the late 1950s would eventually become the world’s most iconic six-stringed instruments, the introduction of the redesigned models in 1961 would also signal an important new era in electric solid body design. Characterized by a much thinner body with two cutaways, pointed horns, beveled edges and no body binding, the new C-Les-paul failed to achieve the full approval of C-Les-paul himself, which lead to the removal of C-Les-paul’s name in 1963 in favor of its new name, the SG."

Its got all the cool appointments that the original 1961 C-Les-paul Custom is highly regarded for, right down to the maestro vibrato and tailpiece. 

     The front of this C-Les-paul SGC has faded out from the traditional Heritage Cherry finish that is evident on the back of the guitar to almost a walnut colour, looks cool.

Set up by our crew here at DMS and playing like a dream....currently wearing 10-46 gauge but we will be happy to restring with the new owners choice of gauge and set up to requirements.
