Hagstrom HB-4 Four String Red Electric Bass Guitar

For musicians looking for an extremely comfortable short scale bass, vintage style bass, but being able to provide a multitude of different tonal variations, from vintage to modern sounds at the turn of the dial.

The first Hagstrom Deluxe solid body guitars featured a distinctive sparkle and pearloid celluloid finish, an ingenious repurposing of materials previously used in their accordion production line. Over the years, Hagstrom expanded their line-up to include hollow body guitars like the Viking and the Jimmy, electric basses including the legendary 8 string, and Hagstrom‘s flagship models, the Swede and the Super Swede. Hagstrom also produced a series of acoustic and classical guitars in the early 70’s. When Hagstrom ceased production in 1983, the guitars became instant collectors items, and the love and respect for these fine instruments continues to be celebrated by musicians around the world.

All models rely on a unique sourcing and manufacturing concept. Both the raw materials and parts for this new series come from first rate suppliers and are assembled to create genuine Hagstrom guitars, with tone and quality being top priority.

All designs are approved by Karl Erik Hagstrom, the wood comes from North America, and the hardware is purchased from top US and Korean suppliers, while pickups are developed in Korea according to K. E. Hagstrom‘s exact specifications.

The result is a range of stunning instruments that look and sound almost identical to the originals.

This is a refurbished instrument. These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected and cleared by a certified technician. The guitars are sent there for many reasons, including: Cosmetic flaws, Minor repairs & Discontinued Models.

Most of the Instruments that we sell have no flaws or repairs. For any that do, we will describe the flaw or repair in the listing and include a photo if it is visible. Some item specifics may vary from stock description above. The actual guitar for sale is shown in the photographs.

All of our guitars come with a new standard factory setup, but may require a small amount of fine tuning to fit the players personal taste. In order to prevent false warranty claims, the guitar is given a new serial number and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" or "2nd" by the authorized refurbishing center. These guitars are the next best thing to buying new!

Condition: The guitar has had a flaw flaw professionally repaired on the heal. Otherwise, it is in like new mint condition. Save Big!
