exceptional guitars.
The limited edition AVNK14LTD has been hand
made in the classic and compact parlour-sized style which rose to
prominence amongst guitarists between the late 19th century up until the
1950s.
In recent years the Parlour style Guitar has gone
through a huge rennaisance due in part to the renewed interest in folk
and roots music as well as their balanved tonal properties and easy
portability.
The body of this Limited Edition AVNK14LTD is made
entirely of beautiful flamed Hawaiian Koa and features a solid top. The
solid Koa contributes greatly to the AVNK14LTD's full, focused and
warm tone.
Only six of these hand made limited edition guitars
were allocated for Australia by Ibanez and we selected this example for
its stunning looks and exemplary tone.
The comfortable V-shaped
mahogany neck, with its Rosewood fingerboard and 18 hand polished and
crowned frets has simply been made to be played.
In addition to
the luxurious Hawaiian Koa wood construction, the Ibanez AVNK14LTD also
features other premium appointments. For example, the rosette around
the sound hole, the purfling along the body and the elegant position
markers in the fretboard are all made of beautifully inlaid abalone
shell.
Tuning duties are well taken care of courtesy of the
gold-plated vintage styled Grover open-back tuners with classic
Butterbean knobs.
As well as the superb attention to detail
given to this guitar, it has also be setup with utmost care in our
workshop and plays as good as it looks.
