           Here we have a very fine original Lado Falcon-2 bass.   Made in Canada by Joe Kovacic the bass plays and sounds incredible.  100% original and structurally very solid.  There was a headstock crack repair done a long tome ago as seen in pictures.             There is some belt buckle wear just on the finish on back of body but not thru the laquer.   There is also some light laquer checking thru out the finish.  I estimate this bass to be about 35 years old or more.  I do not recognize the date code on the pots.              The repair is solid and shows thru on the top of the headstock as seen in picture.   This was looked at by our own luthier Mike Koontz of Koontz Guitar repair Ferndale, Mich. and is a VERY solid old repair.          You can also install a pre-amp as the bass has passive electronics as it sits so not all the switches and varitone are functioning until you do put in a pre-amp.   The passive set up works great and sounds SUPERB.          Serial# CJN L-2-1239 is on the back of the headstock.  The frets show very little wear in the first 3-4 frets.  The bass plays up and down the fret board with no issues and the neck has a nice feel with somewhat of a medium chunky profile. 
I play an original 59' Fender P bass for over 35 years and I know basses,,, this bass is solid and the headstock repair is nothing to worry about. 
 Has 5 way varitone switch knob.  Schaller gold tuners.  Lado pickups.
