This is a converted cuban tres from a new Oscar Schmidt steel string acoustic guitar, producing a tres guitar that delivers a rich and authentic folk tone. During the conversion process the stock nut and saddle were upgraded with genuine bone material increasing the harmonic content and harmonic sustain, also a fixed triple nickel plated steel tailpiece was installed for loop-end strings.
