The thin mahogany body sports a Bigsby B50 tailpiece, Grover Tune-o-matic bridge, and a 22-fret mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard. The PRS S2 Starla Treble and Bass pickups give you a clean, crisp tone that breaks into a range of rich harmonic overtones when you drive it hard. PRS's S2 Starla solidbody electric guitar sports a singlecut, asymmetric-beveled, thin mahogany body that delivers fat tones. A set of exclusive S2 Starla Treble and Bass pickups give you a distinctly clean and crisp sound across the majority of their dynamic range. However, when you really push your S2 Starla, you'll be rewarded with rich harmonic overtones that sound great when you use it to drive a tube amp just past the breakup point. A 3-way pickup selector and push/pull coil-tap switch also give you access to an impressively wide range of tone. And don't forget about the Bigsby! From smooth vibrato to deep dives, the Bigsby B50 vibrato lets you put your signature on any song.
The PRS S2 Starla gives you a Pattern Regular-profile mahogany neck fitted with a rosewood fretboard. A hallmark of PRS quality, neck shapes are, of course, critical to your playing experience. Perfected after years of prototyping, the Pattern Regular neck carve is based on Paul Reed Smith's original, pre-factory neck design - the same one used on instruments he built in the late '80s, at PRS's Virginia Avenue location.
