PROJECT 1983 Martin 150th Anniversary D-28 Acoustic Guitar
Physical Condition
This Martin is SUPER cool, but does need some work. To start, on the top of the guitar, there is a cracked/chipped area right on the forearm area that has been repaired long ago. It's not a beautiful repair but it's solid. The original pickguard has been removed and replaced with the one in photos, again, long ago. There is a spot at the lower corner of the pickguard where you can see the shape of the original guard. There are some wide strumming scratches that have left impressions in the top below and behind the bridge. The bridge itself has lifted a bit, and seems like it may have been glued back at some point but is now pulling up again. The sides of the guitar have some scratches and scuffs, but no cracks or damage. The strap pin seems to have been glued in place but may be removable. On the back of the body, the binding has came loose almost all the way around the guitar, but it's still together. However, there are a few spots where the separate plies of the binding have came apart. Otherwise, the back only has the typical scratches, scuffs, and dings of a guitar that's been heavily played. No cracks or structural damage. The back of the neck has an area that the finish has worn off from the 3rd to 6th frets, right in the center of the neck. Both the front and back of the headstock are free of breaks or damage, but few light dings and scratches are present here and there. Overall, this guitar, while needing some real TLC, is super cool and with just a little love will be a GREAT player!
Fretwear
This guitar has substantial wear on frets 1-7. May need a refret, or a fret dressing at the very least, soon.
Action
Action is medium and playable, but may need a neck reset in the future.
