This is a rare and completely original custom made Kelly Eagle – “Strat style” SSS hand-carved top electric guitar from my good friend and artisan luthier Rick Kelly of Kelly Guitars / Carmine Street Guitars. Rick's shop and skilled craftsmanship has been featured many times in various magazine articles. His guitars are played by many noted artists such as Keith Richards, Bob Dylan and Lou Reed to name but a few. This guitar is currently on display at Rick's store in NYC. A visit to his shop on Carmine Street in New York City is a must.

Handcrafted by Rick Kelly in 1984, this rare carved top model features:

• Body and Neck Wood: solid hand-selected aged maple

• Truss Rod: Adjustable – w/ neck removal

Comes with a complete final setup (intonation, tremolo balancing and adjustments) with new strings of your choice before shipping.

Overall Condition: Excellent with some minimal finish separation around the volcano pickups due to age – see photos. The back has minor scuff marks and is consistent with the age of this instrument.

This guitar plays and sounds amazing and can now be considered vintage Rick Kelly. Just over 30 years old and carefully maintained personally as the original owner, this was among the first-of-its-kind undertaking by Rick when he was working out of his original shop in Bayshore, Long Island. Rick would personally confirm that this is #3 of his masterful signature Eagle creations. Made from hand-picked solid aged maple wood, it is a perfect match of design and electronics.
