Rare 2001 Schecter PT Elite Diamond Series Electric Guitar Quilt/Flame! w/Body Glove Case
For sale is a rather uncommon Schecter Diamond Series PT Elite, apparently only offered in this configuration in 2001 and 2002. This guitar features a knockout quilted maple top, mahogany body, 22 jumbo frets on a rosewood fingerboard, a very rare (my Google searches turned up no other examples) flamed maple neck, Duncan Designed humbuckers, authentic Grover tuners and creme body/neck binding. The neck is about 70% flame, with the figuring even continuing into the headstock; I'm not sure if this was custom ordered or what, but I can't find another example, forum post or image showing a PT Elite with a comparable hunk of maple. It's an absolutely stunning looking guitar with wood choices that make this purchase look like a no-brainer compared to Fender's Blacktop models ($500 without a HSC).
It's in fair, well-played condition with several chips and dings (both on the body and neck), buckle rash, pick marks and just all-around player wear. The frets show moderate dimpling, especially under the B string. Most of the gold hardware appears somewhat tarnished, but all electronics, including the push/pull coil tap, work great.
