The Taylor 524ce is a Mahogany masterpiece, built with Taylor's finest craftsmanship, attention to detail, and recently upgraded with their signature ES-2 Expression Electronics which deliver unparalelled acoustic electric tone for the more demanding live performances.

The Grand Auditorium body is a superb all-rounder, and offers an extra sweetness on the top end tone which will improve the detail and intelligibility of individually picked notes. This is nicely balanced by the warmer, mid-range fundamental focus of the mahogany wood, which makes the 524ce perfect for live performers, gentle strummers and fingerpicked styles of all genres.

With Taylor's trademark aesthetic design, the natural wood grain and darker stains of the Mahogany give it a stylish, elegant and understated look that matches its more mellow tone. A sophisticated Venetian cutaway offers functional access to the upper frets which may also suit the visual preferences of some players! Added trimmings include Grained Ivoroid binding and rosette, with an ebony fretboard which really complements the darker mahogany wood grain and offers superb neck playability.

The upgraded ES2 electronic pickup on the 524ce build on the success and feedback from their original ES1 pickups, and are now around 25% hotter for improved volume and gain for live and studio recording, with an improved internal wiring system and internal body sensors for unparalelled tone.
