Item Description

Bass players know that the Fender Custom Shop produces some of the world's greatest basses, and this '64 reissue Jazz Bass shows why! This is a pre-owned '64 made in 2011 with a relic Candy Apple Red finish. Dual Vintage Jazz single-coil pickups are wired to individual volume controls for a variety of tones from classic Jazz Bass growl, to funky slap, to more aggressive modern sounds. The maple neck is topped off with a rosewood board. The bass is in usual relic-condition with dings and lacquer checking throughout. There was some sort of reaction to clothing or a material on the back of the body near the tummy contour, which matted the paint in this section and has a light dotted pattern. This has no effect on the playability of this very cool instrument.
