Vintage acoustic guitar Santiago MIJ 60'S /70'S good working order nice tone .

     Vintage Santiago guitar MIJ ,not sure of maker(perhaps Antoria ) but high quality. The Front of the guitar has a 8 ply purfling around a spruce top with a inlayed rosette with mother of pearl leaf like Japanese motifs and multiply circular inlay. The bridge is a rosewood type with MOP dots. The front has some scratch and wear marks associated with playing over 40-45 years of use, which could be polished out.

   The sides are in a light Honduras  and have stress marks and nicks to the old varnish The back purfling is a single ply and the back of the guitar has a slight cello curve to the back. Internal has Santiago label and Quality guitars , foreign on paper label . All struts internal are in good order and look very strong and well executed.

Neck looks like Maple with a tinted varnish to the finish The fingerboard is a rosewood with good frets 4 dot markers and original top nut. Headstock is slotted classical style ,light maple sunburst with old style slotted screw machine heads and Rugby ball buttons . The lower set were replaced some time ago and are whiter in finish. The back of the headstock has the JAPAN embossed into wood as a sign of the makers country of origin.logo on headstock and back are missing.

    The heel of the guitar is very elegant and allows good access. The guitar neck has internal steel strengthening The action and playability is good with a lovely tone across all the range . Guitar would make a good folk guitar for finger picking or for rock or slide.New strings fitted.
