1988 Yairi CY-116 Classical Guitar w/ Brand New Hard Case in Excellent Condition

Up for sale is a vintage Japanese handmade classical guitar in excellent condition that comes with a brand new hard case. The Kazuo Yairi's popular model CY 116 is a unique model that has her unique voice among all the CY model lines. It is considered to be one of the brightest and loudest professional grade performance Yairi guitars. The CY 116 is the only model that features a burled and flaming mahogany on the back and side, that gives you a brilliant tone and quick response after plucking the string. Please note the vintage CY-116s in many aspects are different from those contemporary ones seen at your local guitar centers. The major difference is the wood selection and the tuner. This guitar has a room-filling volume and a beautiful tone, with no plastic tone or wolf tone often heard on contemporary guitars. The condition is one of the best CY116 I've ever seen at that age. Full disclosure: the guitar has been re-finished by French polish at a local luthier's. Looks like it had been played quite a bit with some fret wears and very slight marks on the body. The fret life is still 70-80% left and my luthier doesn't think it require a re-fret at this time. Everything else is original and it has been well kept with humidity control. No structural issues and any repair or modification. The neck is straight and the bridge has been filed a little lower for transferring a good pressure at the saddle. It comes with a brand new plywood hard case (black).
